I am going to buy office desk for my office. And I would like to get ideas for my new desk at home. Some people use a modern decor, others use wood themes or plastic trays. I am also looking for homemade bulletin boards and pencil jars. Is there a place to get ideas for my own desk? Thanks!

Office desks – why is the side piece called a “return”?

Take your average office desk. There’s the main part, normal height where your knees go under.
Then you turn to the left or right, and on a lot desks there’s a smaller, lower desk, almost like a table with storage. It’s called a “return”.
Why is it called a “return”? (I could almost accept it being called a ‘turn desk’ but not a ‘return’)

I operate my business from the house. Unfortunately, there is no space in my house except my bedroom for my office desk, which comes with fax, phone, pc, etc. I heard it’s unhealthy, and am beginning to think it is – each time I see my PC as I wake up, I have the urge to work right away!
