Once you’ve driven a Ferrari, no other car comes close. Experience the breathtaking acceleration of Maranello’s breathtaking beauties. You’ll kick off with a briefing and then your instructor will drive you on some training laps in a hot hatch so that you can learn the racing lines and see circuit driving techniques in action. At Thruxton or Croft you drive three laps in a Porsche Cayman, four laps in a Ferrari 355 plus five laps in a single-seater (25 miles at Croft, 28.8 at Thruxton). And at Rockingham you’ll drive an F360 for six miles on track and then a single-seater for another 20 minutes. Finish with a high-speed passenger ride at some venues.

I Can’t Believe I Actually Did It!
I was initially sceptical, but I have to admit I had an utterly brilliant time! I wasn’t the only female and the instructors taught us the basics of how to drive a Ferrari on a racetrack and led us right through to solo driving of a Formula Ford (I didn’t even know what this was until I was in one!) in a race on the circuit. I found myself grinning round each lap, feeling both safe and exhilarated.

Brilliant Day Out
With so many people there on the track I wondered how they managed to have such a fluid flowthrough of people into the cars, but they did. Each tutor was helpful, polite and really wanted to help make your day special.

I had never done anything like this in my life, but once I did it I didn’t want to stop. It was absolutely fantastic. It was a well organised day and the staff were extremely helpful and knew exactly what they were doing. I highly recommend any of the driving experiences at the Thruxton racetrack.

My Perfect Birthday Present
It ran like clockwork, from the three laps with the instructor which get progressively quicker, to the single seater laps at the end. For me though, the highlight of the day was driving the Ferrari 355, a supercar that I have long admired. Then it was three full on laps trying to remember everything he had said! I must also say that throughout each phase of the day, although the objective was our enjoyment, it was made clear that what was even more important was everyone’s safety, which is not always an easy combination but the staff at Thruxton Motorsport managed it perfectly.This was undoubtedly my perfect birthday present, and I shall be back.

A Long Held Ambition Fulfilled At Last!!!!
Coming out of the tunnel, I could not contain my excitement when I saw the row of Ferraris ready and waiting. I just wanted to jump in one and go go go! But I had to be patient and follow the very useful induction and the trial run in a Mini Cooper S to see the circuit. After that all I can say is that when it was my turn to go, it was sheer heaven all the way. Can’t say any more.

Amazing Adrenaline Rush
The instructor was friendly and put me at ease. I absolutely loved driving the car and can’t wait to return in the near future to drive a Formula 1 car.
